October 7, 2015

The unknown Egyptian militant group Jama’at Al-Murabitoon has launched an account on the secure messaging app Telegram, according to an announcement that was posted on the Al-Fida’ forum.

People can use Telegram to contact the Islamic Shari’a Soldiers Brigade, Al-Murabitoon’s supposed military wing, according to the announcement.

Al-Murabitoon noted that its Telegram account, as well as its accounts on two other jihadi forums, are not to be used for chatting purposes, but only in order to send the group “information and documents.”
