Jihadi Tech Group Releases Upgrade To Its Android App For Secure Communication

On July 8, 2015, the Al-Fajr Technical Committee (FTC), a group of tech-savvy jihadis, announced a new version of its Android app ‘Amn Al-Mujahid. The app allows jihadis to communicate securely, and uses public key cryptography.

The new version, V1.1, comes a year after the FTC first released its secure communication app for Android. The app follows a desktop version released in December 2013.

The FTC’s announcement was made on its new Twitter page which was opened on June 27.
