Google recently removed the SmeshApp calling and texting application from the Google PlayStore, after allegations by an Indian TV station that the Pakistani military Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) had been using it to spy on Indian military officials.

The Indian TV report also alleged that SmeshApp was storing information on its users on a server in Germany that was rented in Karachi to help the ISIS spy on the activity of various Indian forces. Indian authorities contacted Google with their findings, and the app was removed from the PlayStore.
