Australian national Mustafa Muhammad, aka Abu Sulayman Al-Muhajir, who since May 19, 2016 has been a U.S. Treasury Department specially designated global terrorist, is a leading Jabhat Al-Nusra (JN) cleric and a member of the organization’s shura council. Long active on social media, on June 5, Al-Muhajir created a Telegram channel which, at the time of this writing, has 706 members. On Telegram, Al-Muhajir presents himself as accessible; interested parties can submit questions for him to answer on his channel.
Following a hiatus in his social media activity, Al-Muhajir returned to Twitter on June 6; he is also active on Facebook, where he created an account on July 14. His social media posts are devoted to attacking the Islamic State (ISIS), discussing political or military events, and praising JN’s efforts.
Abu Sulayman maintains Twitter accounts in Urdu, English, German, and Turkish.
