AQIM Claims Responsibility For Ivory Coast Attacks Via Its Telegram Channel

Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) has claimed responsibility for today’s deadly attacks at three hotels in the beach resort city of Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast.

The attack has killed at least 11 people according to the Ivory Coast government.

AQIM’s claim of responsibility was published on the group’s Telegram channel, where it stated that three “heroes” from among the “knights of AQIM” attacked the resort city, located east of Abidjan.

AQIM said it will soon publish more details about the attack.
