On February 18, 2016, Al-Athir, a media agency affiliated with Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), published photos of a Da’wa Center opened by the group in the city of the Al-Bayda, Yemen.
The photos, released via the agency’s Twitter, Facebook, and Telegram accounts, feature four men inside the small center, two of them sitting at desks. In the center, there is one laptop and a pile of pamphlets on a shelf. The pamphlets’ titles, while barely legible, appear to be on topics such as denouncing democracy, condemning the U.S., and encouraging Muslims to join jihadi groups.
