Saudi Religious Police Employs ‘Ethical Hackers’ To Combat Adult Content

The Saudi Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, otherwise known as the Religious Police, managed to shut down 9,000 Twitter accounts that promoted explicit adult content, which is banned in Saudi Arabia. The Religious Police utilized “ethical hackers” who managed to obtain the personal information of Twitter users who were promoting illegal content. Some of the users who arrested, and face fines and up to 5 years in prison.
