Report Details Work Of Anti-Terror Indonesian ‘Cyber Warriors’

On May 9, 2016, the Straits Times featured a report on Indonesia’s Muslim ‘Cyber Warriors’ – a group of some 500 members of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), one of the world’s biggest Muslim organizations – who are tasked with counter the extremist messages of ISIS online. According to a prominent member of the group, “We’ll never let Islam be hijacked by fools who embrace hate in their heart.” The group runs a small office in Jakarta, but most members work remotely.
