June 20, 2016

On June 16, 2016, the hacker SkyNetCentral conducted a DDoS attack against the official website of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), forcing the website offline despite the fact that it used CloudFlare’s DDoS protection service. The hacker also conducted DDoS attacks against the official website of Egypt’s Freedom and Justice Party, which is affiliated with the MB. Additionally, the hacker also managed to bypass the website’s security and steal files from its database, which he then leaked online.

The leaked data contained IP addresses, email conversations, and details of commenters on the site. The hacker was only able to compromise some of the data on the website, but did not manage to gain access to any sensitive information.

Below is a screenshot of the leaked data showing comments and IP addresses:

The hacker has been known to target the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and similar organizations in the past.
