Jihadis Discuss Recent Reported Breach Of Tor, Complain That Tech-Savvy Forum Members Have Abandoned Forums In Favor Of Twitter

Jihadis on Al-Fida and the Shumoukh Al-Islam forum, both top-tier Al-Qaeda forums, have been expressing their concern over the recent news that the web anonymity project Tor (The Onion Router) has been breached.

On July 30, 2014, Tor announced on its blog that a number of suspicious relays (hopping points through which Internet traffic is encrypted and decrypted) that joined the Tor network at the end of January 2014 were trying to deanonymize the service users – especially, it said, people who operated or accessed Tor hidden services.
