Symantec: Iranian State-Sponsored Hackers Planting Backdoors

The security firm Symantec has reported that two Iranian state-sponsored hacker groups, Cadelle and Chafer, have been spreading custom-made backdoors in order to spy on targets in Iran and elsewhere in the Middle East, as well as airports and telecommunication companies. The Cadelle group is using self-titled software, while Chafer’s backdoors are known as Remexi and Remexi B.
